About Estates

The Estates department of Hwange Colliery Company [HCCL] carries the mandate to sustainably manage the HCCL town and provide a bundle of good quality municipal services to Hwange Colliery Company employees and other residents in the area. It is head quartered at Estates Central in the Central Business District of Hwange. The department operates through several service provider sections that are conveniently spread throughout the 7 townships of HCCL namely No.1, No.1 North, No.2, No.3, No.5, Zambazi, Soonga, and Kabuyu. The sections that form the well-oiled Estates machine are Town and Commercial Services, Civil Engineering Services, Accounting Services, Schools Administration, Clubs and Lodges Management.

    • CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Estates department bank rolls a number of social projects notably Hwange Football Club, one of the only two Football Clubs playing Premier league football in Matabeleland North Province, Hwange Colliery Netball Club also playing in the National Super League, Hwange Under 20 and 17, playing in Divisions 1 and 2 respectively. The department also sponsors a number of other sporting disciplines such as Tug of war, athletics, ladies soccer, tennis, golf, and darts all played in facilities that are provided and maintained by the Estates department. The department has also extended its generous hand to schools, churches, government departments through its facilities, equipment or hire material at discounted or no rate at all.
